It’s true what they say: You can never appreciate when you have until you’ve lost it.
Recently, I’ve come to appreciate my sartorial shift through having lost boundaries. With every look, outfit and styled creation, I’ve inched closer to completely reshuffling what I once perceived to be my style.
Ironically, testing limitations and experimenting to break these boundaries is what initially formed my taste. So now, I can’t help but ask myself–
Am I comfortable with athleisure? Or the downward trickle of bold hardware?
At a surface level, sure. But I am doing everything in my power to be cogniscent of why I’m shifting these boundaries. At the end of the day, experimentation is growth, and growth makes for a stronger, more distinctive sense of style.
